Our BCU 1 Star kayak course is based on the river Medway at Tonbridge. It's a beautiful quiet section of the river and paddlers can enjoy kayaking past Tonbridge Castle and round the island. The course is designed for complete beginners and follows the British Canoeing 1 Star syllabus. We use Wavesport Ethos crossover kayaks which are designed to be comfortable for adults (who are our main customer base) and have built in drop down skegs. These are ideal, allowing complete beginners to master all the basic kayaking skills needed to successfully complete the course in one day.

• Use of Wavesport Ethos crossover kayak, paddle, buoyancy aid, helmet, spray deck.
• A half day's coaching by Grant Scamell - BCU Level 5 Coach.
• Free parking permit in Tonbridge for the day.
