British Canoeing Paddle Explore Award - Open Canoe

Our British Canoeing Paddle Explore Award is designed to give paddlers the skills and knowledge necessary to become an independent paddler in their own right. It's aimed at paddlers who have completed the British Canoeing Discover Award and/or have the relevant experience.
To ensure we can provide the highest quality coaching, we only take a maximum of four people on this course and it is led by Grant Scamell - British Canoeing Level 5 Coach. You will have an opportunity to paddle both tandem and solo open canoes including the new Silverbirch Firefly 14. Silverbirch Firefly The course covers the relevant British Canoeing theory and all the practical elements of the award including cross deck bow rudders, sculling draws and rescues.
Course cost £75 per person
Includes:
- Use of Venture Canoes Prospector 15 or Mad River Explorer tandem open canoe, paddle, buoyancy aid and helmet.
Please note:
The minimum age of participants on this course is twelve years of age.
